The Skills Competition will take place on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Both teams must select a representative to participate in each of the following six events: fastest skater, breakaway challenge, accuracy shooting, skills challenge relay, hardest shot and elimination shot.

Fans were treated to a number of memorable moments in 2012. Zdeno Chara shattered the record for hardest shot, with his puck clocking in at 108.8 mph. Carl Hagelin bested Colin Greening in the Fastest Skater, also doing so in record-breaking fashion. Dressed in a ‘Superman’ cape and sporting thick glasses, Patrick Kane won over the crowd in the breakway challenge with his unique flair. With the level of talent this year, it’s shaping out to be another must-see event.
The Skills Challenge will begin at 7 p.m. ET, televised on NBCSN.
