It seems no one told Alex Killorn as that as that is just what he did to net the first goal of the postseason Wednesday night in Game 1 of the Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Columbus Blue Jackets matchup.
Facing a penalty kill with just over four minutes gone in the first period, the seventh year forward stole the puck from Seth Jones at the Lightning’s blueline and broke in alone on Columbus’ goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to ignite the offense for Tampa Bay.
Killorn now has 21 goals in 65 playoff games. This was his first shorthanded goal in the postseason and the 13th in Tampa Bay playoff history.
