The first two rounds are complete in the 2022 NHL playoffs, and there were a number of strong individual performances. It’s still too early to determine who the Conn Smythe Trophy winner will be, but there are most certainly some frontrunners. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Nikita Kucherov are showing out as the conference finals begin. Four teams remain, and those on the squads that are still alive have a chance at racking up more points on their way to a potential Stanley Cup....

The 27-year-old enjoyed a breakout 2022, making the final at Wimbledon and winning the doubles at last year’s Australian Open alongside close mate Thanasi Kokkinakis. Kyrgios withdrew from the recent United Cup, leading to plenty of criticism from the likes of Lleyton Hewitt, and will come into his home grand slam with very little preparation behind him. According to a report by ESPN, the league has contacted members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee to lobby against a hearing requested by U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, D-N.J. The hearing is expected to be granted, according to ESPN. It reported that “multiple sources” said the league has been in contact with committee members. On Monday, the league announced multiple changes for the 2018 edition of the annual showcase, which will take place Saturday, Jan. 27, at Tampa’s Amalie Arena. The NHL’s top players will still compete in many of the same traditional events, such as the fastest skater and accuracy shooting, but some of those competitions will have new components. The accuracy shooting, which typically has been a four-corners drill, will feature a fifth target and LED lighting for each of them....
