The league announced on Monday that, while they’ve told players they can return to their homes outside of their team’s city, they hope to have training camps open by the beginning of May. One rumored option for the rest of the season, if and when the NHL returns, would give some teams an unexpected lifeline. According to Sport-Express writer Igor Eronko, the NHL is considering a modified 24-team playoff format, which would add eight more teams to the usual 16 that make the postseason....

In the wake of negative fan response to changes made in the Pokemon GO mobile app, developer Niantic has issued an official response. They acknowledge the Pokemon GO player base’s concerns and have posted a statement to its blog outlining a future course of action. Callahan is in the final year of his contract with the Broncos and is set to become a free agent in 2022. His current salary cap hit would be about $6.2 million. Whether the Broncos can get another team to play even a portion of that would definitely be a part of the trade discussions. The Broncos should be more inclined to trade Callahan rather than just release him, at least being able to get something in return....
It is unclear what the Ravens will receive in return for Eluemunor. The Cardinals will receive a sixth-round pick for Cunningham, according to ESPN. Eluemunor, 24, was a fifth-round pick by the Ravens out of Texas A&M in 2017. He has played in 17 games over the last two years, making three starts. Cunningham played in six games for the Cardinals last season. The news comes after Patriots center David Andrews was hospitalized this week with blood clots....

Multiple players returned from the games nursing injuries. And the news for a lot of those players is not good. We already knew about the Detroit Red Wings’ Henrik Zetterberg, who may be gone for the season with a herniated disc in his back. We also knew about the New York Rangers’ Mats Zuccarello, who is out 3-4 weeks with a fractured hand. There was a double whammy for the Florida Panthers as Aleksander Barkov (knee) and Tomas Kopecky (concussion) also went down during the games....
